An Interac e-Transfer is the quickest way to give, and the campaign keeps all of it.

Put your full name and mailing address in the message field. Ontario requires the campaign to record both against every contribution, so without them we have to write back and ask.
You will get a reply confirming the amount, and a receipt for your records.
Who can contribute
- Individuals who live in Ontario. Corporations and trade unions cannot contribute to a municipal campaign.
- $1,200 is the most any one person may give to this campaign.
- $5,000 is the most any one person may give in total across all candidates for Wasaga Beach council.
- Anything over $25 has to arrive by a traceable method. An e-Transfer or a cheque is one; cash is not.
What becomes public
After the election every candidate files a financial statement with the Town. It names anyone who contributed more than $100 in total, with their address, and it is a public document. That is the law rather than a campaign choice, and worth knowing before you send anything.
Not a tax receipt
Contributions to municipal campaigns are not tax deductible in Ontario. The receipt the campaign sends you is for your own records and cannot be claimed.

Municipal government works best when residents stay in it.
